osudbgobsgo why the fuck do I look at this site when I know it will anger me but just ousbgobs

FOR ONE: Obama has not had any conflicting statements on the damn mosque. Saying you aren't going to comment but thinking they have the right is not a goddamn conflict you fucking tards.

FOR TWO: Election year debate? Really?

FOR THREE: You bigoted fucks in the comments I can't even. These are nice gems, by the by:

Once the Islamics claim land for a mosque, it no longer is the domaine of the country, it can never be removed, and is simply another stake in the ground for Islam. The guy promoting this mosque, tells "his" people one thing, and america another. He says to them, their is NO dialoge between religions, He also Promotes sharia law as the way to overcome a "kingdom" or "democracy", so keep SLEEPING America.

* * *

maybe Americans would not have such a problem with this mosque if for one second they believed that it would truely be used for peaceful purposes or for bringing different cultures together. anyone can see that if this highly questionable imam felt this way and after all the oposition to it he would back off and move his mosque somewhere else. if as he claims this is to be a multicultural building why then is he right off the bat going to alienate seventy percent of Americans by building on this site?

* * *

b H o will NEVER serve a 4 year term, the American people will not tolerate his hatred toward them.

* * *

The United States constitution was written by our founding fathers for Americans, not foreigners. No foreigner in this country should be protected under our Constitution unless they are American citizens, period.

* * *

.....SMOKE THE CREEP AND END IT...

I just ... I cannot for the life of me understand why 'mosque' = OHMYGOD. Seriously. It's a holy place and if people bothered learning fuck all about other cultures maybe they'd realise this. God forbid this ever happened to Christians in another country; there'd be riots

Guys, I need some happy. Or at least intelligent debate. Help

I have neither! Though I have to say, with the way people are reacting to this mosque situation, I'm concerned what will happen to the mosque. America is so crazy at the moment, I really wouldn't put it past any of the nutters to, well, do something.

I worry, too. It's a holy place no matter who you worship and vilifying all practitioners because of a fringe few is wrong. It's the same as any wide brush stroke. I'm certain most Catholics, for instance, would be upset if all of them were treated like abortionist killers.

I was reading an article too that said the mosques in the area are too small and have to turn people away constantly, so they seriously need this space, too.

Yes, they need it.

For the terrorists!!!!!

Can't we sue fox news for hate speech or something? Or trying to incite violence? because seriously.

From: [identity profile] taelow.livejournal.com

God I wish. It seriously is a hate crime by this point.

You know, every time you use that icon, there's a high chance it's about Fox News.

From: [identity profile] taelow.livejournal.com

That's because even Dilandau thinks Fox News is off its rocker.

Meanwhile, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, a community which as far as I'm aware hasn't suffered a recent terrorist attack, the same bigoted assholes are crawling out of the woodwork. The lesson here is that no matter where you build a mosque, some jackass will object.

To be fair, though, worse happens to Christians in other countries. Like Saudi Arabia. Or China. The fact that we nevertheless maintain good relations with these countries demonstrates exactly how much our governments value religious freedom, as opposed to sweet, sweet money.

Yeah, I do know that Christians elsewhere deal with some nasty shit, but as a whole, I think Christianity is received more freely in most countries than Islam. Also, Christians don't really have a moral high ground when it comes to missionaries anyway, but that's a different can of worms.

Oh of course. Has noooothing to do with money.
